About the PIN lock screen

The PIN lock screen is an optional feature that allows you and your users to protect the i3TOUCH display from being used by people who shouldn’t be able to access it. Users will be able to use a 4 to 8 numerical value. It can be set on the i3TOUCH display or in i3RDM. To set the PIN lock screen on an i3TOUCH display, see Using the PIN lock screen

If User Profiles is activated, the PIN lock is only an option to the Guest profile. Registered users will be required to log in and out of their profile, which seriously increases security.

Setting the PIN lock screen when User Profiles is not activated

Go the Device details of the i3TOUCH display where you want to set the PIN Lock features. Under Specs & Actions, select ‘Manage access’.

A dialog will pop up.

Under the section ‘How can the i3TOUCH display be accessed’ you can set the PIN which should be a numerical value between 4 and 8 digits.

Setting the PIN lock screen for the Guest profile when User Profiles is activated

When User Profiles is activated, the PIN lock is set by default for the Guest profile. You can use the PIN code that was already set before User Profiles was activated, set a new one or even turn it off if you want guests to be able to use the i3TOUCH display freely.

Setting the PIN lock screen on the i3TOUCH display

This option is only available when User Profiles is not activated. You can find this under the Quick settings in the Launcher menu. For more information, see Using the PIN lock screen
