This firmware contains the new User-Profiles feature allowing users to log in and -out of the display.
Each user has it’s own isolated working environment which improves security and personalization of the i3STUDIO experience.
At the moment of release 23rd of May 2023 there are still a few known issues to take into account when starting the usage of this feature.
Please check the known issues list below regarding the limitations and their workarounds.
These issues are being looked at and will be resolved in a follow-up release projected in July '23.

Known issues regarding user profiles

  1. Issue: The multifunction button screen function capture does not work for logged in users
    workaround: User i3Annotate to take screen-captures to send to whiteboard.

  2. Issue: Not all Android settings are available to a logged in user
    workaround: With the panel in a logged out state, start a remote control session from the i3RDM device details page, this will unlock the device as the System user (Owner) with all settings available.
    Make the necessary changes and log out of the panel again.

  3. Issue: The Home page does not initialize properly after logging in, it stays black (reproducibility <10%)
    workaround: open the side-menu and trigger the “HOME action”, this will re-initialize the launcher.

  4. Issue: The i3 Setup Wizard is incompatible with the new applications, causing it crash.
    workaround: don’t connect to Wi-Fi when in the wizard and complete it without internet connection.
